Perhaps one of the more humorous killers in history, Fritz Honka was an extremely insecure individual. Perhaps that had something to do with his height, 5'5".
Well anyway poor old Fritz had two great eccentricities, firstly, he only liked women shorter than himself, and much more bizarre, he only liked toothless women. This was because his greatest fear was having his cock mutilated during oral sex.
Because of these things Fritz seemed to only see the older prostitutes of Hamburg, Germany. In fact he liked them so much he killed four of them between 1971 and 1974. The reason for the murders was simple, they teased him about preferring oral sex to 'straight' sex.
The only problem with killing the whores was the fact that Fritz was too fucking lazy to get rid of the bodies (his little body size didn't help either) and he just let them rot around him, preferring to stay drunk than to remove them. When his neighbors eventually complained about the stench he still didn't bother removing the bodies, he just went out and bought a load of cheap deodorant, which he attempted to cover the smell with.
Eventually he must have got sick of the smell and torched the flat on June 17, 1975. Unluckily for him a fireman found the mummified remains of a body and he was duly arrested and after a short trial (where he pleaded guilty) he was sentenced to life imprisonment, the maximum in Germany at that time.
The Wacky World of Murder
Fritz Honka (1935 – 19 October 1998) was a German serial killer. Between 1971 and 1974, he killed at least four prostitutes from Hamburg's red light district, keeping the bodies in his flat.
At five foot five, Fritz Honka was extremely sensitive about his height. He liked his women shorter, and he also liked them toothless, to alleviate his fears of mutilation during oral sex. He found relief with aging prostitutes from Hamburg's red light district, killing at least four of them in his small attic room in the Zeißstraße 74 of Ottensen.
Disposal was a problem, given Honka's size and basic laziness. He kept the bodies in his flat, and fortified himself with alcohol against the stench. When neighbours griped about unpleasant smells, he doused the place with quarts of cheap deodorant.
In January 1975, the mummified remains were found by firemen after a fire in the house. Honka was not present, being on shift as a night watchman, and was arrested when he returned home.
In custody, Honka said he killed the women after they mocked his preference for oral sex over "straight" intercourse. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, the maximum possible under German law.
Fritz Honka was released from prison in 1993 and spent his last years under the name of Peter Jensen in an old peoples home. He died in hospital in Hamburg-Langenhorn on 19 October 1998.
German director Andreas Schnaas has said that his film Violent Shit series is very loosely based on the exploits of Fritz Honka.
